LIVE // Parliament in session. The bill on the exclusion of Victory Day is on the agenda
The legislature meets in plenary session on Thursday 20 July. On the agenda is a draft law on commemorative days, public holidays and days of rest in the Republic of Moldova. Victory Day and the commemoration of the heroes who died for the independence of the homeland, celebrated on 9 May, could be excluded. Instead, the Day of Commemoration and Reconciliation in memory of the fallen of the Second World War will be established on 8 May.
At the same time, MEPs will debate the draft law on the denunciation of the Convention on the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States, concluded in Minsk on 26 May 1995, and the draft law on the denunciation of the Agreement on Interaction in Preventing and Dealing with the Consequences of Natural and Technological Emergency Situations, signed in Minsk on 22 January 1993, as amended by the Protocol.
