Airport attack investigation report to be presented on 31 July
The deadline for submission of the investigation into the attack at Chisinau International Airport is 31 July. The announcement was made by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Adrian Efros. According to the official, the involvement of each employee is to be determined.
"We, based on that investigation, will reassess all aspects and determine the involvement of each employee, whether at the management or executive level, after which decisions will be taken," Adrian Efros said at a press conference where he presented his priorities and commitments at the beginning of his mandate as minister.
An armed attack took place on 30 June at Chisinau International Airport. A citizen of Tajikistan shot dead two employees of law enforcement structures: border policeman Serghei Muntean and security agent Igor Ciofu.
During the shooting, the attacker was wounded and in serious condition. On the evening of 3 July, he died in a hospital in the Republic of Moldova.
