Border Police: 31 persons were refused entry to Moldova

The General Inspectorate of Border Police announces that 31 persons were refused entry into the Republic of Moldova on 20 July. In total, 58,393 people crossed the border at the border crossing points, with a higher number of people crossing the border on the way in from the Republic of Moldova - 29,219.

More foreign citizens crossed the border - 33,169, while the number of crossings by Moldovan citizens was 25,224.

"With reference to border crossings by Ukrainian citizens, a total number of 15,114 crossings was recorded, of which 7,813 on the way to the Republic of Moldova. At the same time, 2,936 were crossings of Ukrainian minors," the Border Police said.

The most "active" border was with Romania where 30,152 crossings were recorded, at the Moldovan-Ukrainian border 16,632 crossings were reported and another 11,609 crossings at the air border.

At the same time, in the last 24 hours, border guards recorded several contraventions, including one illegal crossing of the state border; one forged travel document; two foreigners violated the rules of residence on the territory of the Republic of Moldova; violation of the regime of crossing points by six persons, as well as 22 violations of the rules of using vignettes and operating vehicles.
