Speaker of the Moldovan Parliament discussed regional security with Romania's presidential adviser

The subject of security in the region in the context of the latest attacks by the Russian Federation in Ukraine was discussed by the Speaker of Parliament Igor Grosu and the Presidential Adviser on Foreign Policy to the President of Romania Bogdan Aurescu.

During the discussion, Igor Grosu thanked the Romanian official for all the support given to our country by his country, especially in the effort to open negotiations with the European Union. Igor Grosu also spoke about the Support Platform for Moldova, an initiative of Romania, Germany and France.

"Our country has managed to get support to get through this winter, manage the refugee flow effectively and, last but not least, ensure peace in the country and focus on the European agenda," the Moldovan official wrote on Facebook.

He also reiterated the importance of Romania's initiative to establish a separate EU-wide sanctions regime against those who try to destabilise the situation in Moldova.
