Volodimir Zelensky: "Russia must lose every day. We are preparing strong responses to attacks by Russian terrorists"

Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski told his compatriots Monday night that the first task of Ukrainian forces is to destroy as much as possible of the Russian occupiers' resources, equipment, supplies, warehouses and headquarters, saying, in an apparent allusion to attacks on Russian territory, that it is "right" for Russia to lose every day.

"Maximum attention is paid to those areas where we are advancing and those where Ukrainian forces are on the defensive. In all areas, the first task is to destroy as much as possible of the occupiers, their equipment, supplies, warehouses and headquarters. Russia must lose every day - it is fair. And I thank all our soldiers who ensure this: all our soldiers, sailors, NCOs, sergeants, officers and generals. It is very important that our defence and security forces, our entire state, work as one team in the name of defence," Volodimir Zelensky said in his nightly video address, according to News.ro.

The Kiev leader said he had also discussed in detail with top commanders all aspects of defending against Russian missile and drone terror, including protecting the Black Sea grain corridor, as Russia has been bombing Ukrainian port infrastructure daily in the past week after the exit from the agreement to transport Ukrainian grain across the Black Sea, trying to prevent any exports. On Monday, for the first time, Moscow bombed grain warehouses in Ukraine's Danube ports.

"We are preparing strong responses to attacks by Russian terrorists," Zelenski assured Ukrainians.

At the end of his speech, President Zelenski said that once a month he sends a special letter of thanks to soldiers who have distinguished themselves on the frontline. "Last week, I sent such a written letter of thanks to our glorious 56th Mariupol Separate Infantry Brigade. To all its soldiers and brigade commanders. And today I received the chevron of the 56th Brigade - it's already here in my office, on the blackboard, along with other chevrons. And a flag signed by the boys. Thank you very much, soldiers! Thank you very much, heroes!", Zelensky said.
