More than 1,300 employees, who were infected with COVID-19 at work, will receive the one-off allowance of 16,000 lei
Public sector employees who fell ill with COVID-19 at workplace, until September 30, 2020, as well as medical personnel, infected during the years 2021-2022, will benefit from a one-off allowance of 16,000 of lions. The decision was approved today by the Cabinet of Ministers, at the proposal of the Ministry of Finance.
Thus, 1311 people will benefit from the one-off allowance, of which 1287 are medical personnel.
For this purpose, 20.9 million lei will be allocated from the Government's Intervention Fund.
From that amount, 10.2 million lei will be allocated to the Ministry of Health for 635 people; 3.2 million lei - to the Chisinau Municipal Council for 203 people; 880,000 lei - to the Sangerei District Council for 55 people; 592,000 lei - to the Balti Municipal Council for 37 people, and the rest will be distributed to other central and local public authorities, reads a statement of the Ministry of Finance.
So far, 20,378 employees have benefited from this one-off allowance.
