Dorin Recean meets the President of the EBRD
The implementation of infrastructure projects, strengthening the business environment and increasing energy efficiency were discussed by Prime Minister Dorin Recean with the president of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Odile Renaud-Basso, who is on a visit to Chisinau.
Prime Minister Dorin Recean spoke about the important programs for citizens developed in our country: roads, modernized railways, consolidated power lines.
"We emphasize de-bureaucratizing processes, strengthening the capacities of state institutions, modernizing localities and increasing energy security by intensifying the transition to the green economy. We are also making efforts to create favorable conditions for the development of the business environment by launching government programs to support entrepreneurs. I want you to look at the Republic of Moldova not only as a country that needs financial assistance, but also as an investment opportunity", stressed Prime Minister Dorin Recean.
The President of the EBRD appreciated the fact that, despite all the challenges, the Republic of Moldova continues to advance in areas of major importance, such as infrastructure projects, the creation of a friendly environment for entrepreneurs and the digitization of services. The head of the EBRD reaffirmed the support of the institution she leads in strengthening good governance, increasing decision-making transparency and strengthening the energy sector.
