Ukrainian army announces a successful attack on the Tsiongar Bridge, between Kherson and Crimea

The Ukrainian military announced on Sunday that it had successfully carried out a missile attack targeting the Tsiongar Bridge, considered a key infrastructure connecting Ukraine's Russian-occupied Kherson region and the Crimean Peninsula, annexed by Moscow in 2014, CNN reports.

The bridge is a key crossing point for military and civilian traffic between the two occupied Ukrainian regions.

The Ukrainian army makes this announcement after Vladimir Saldo, the representative of the Russian occupation in Kherson, announced that Ukraine attacked, on the night of Saturday to Sunday, with 12 long-range missiles, a railway line between Kherson and Crimea.

Saldo announced that all the missiles were intercepted by Russian defenses.

He announced, however, that some infrastructures were "slightly damaged" by rocket fragments. This is the second Ciongar Bridge attack since June.
