On National Day, Romania donates laptops for students from the Republic of Moldova
Twenty general education institutions in the country will benefit from high-performance equipment, provided by the Government of Romania. The donation includes laptops, multifunction printers and interactive whiteboards.

According to the Secretary of State of the Department for Relations with the Republic of Moldova in Romania, Adrian Dupu, currently, education must become a priority, and teaching techniques must adapt to the new times. "Today, by digitising 20 schools in the Republic of Moldova, we are bringing the future closer to students. The action also aims to stimulate students' attendance at classes, reduce school dropouts, as well as improve the efficiency of the teaching process based on the use of the latest technology. In a few days, we will celebrate Romania's National Day together. On National Day, Romania gives gifts of laptops to the students of the Republic of Moldova and I wish you teachers and students to use these equipment as well as possible so that you can get the results we all expect", said Adrian Dupu.
For his part, the Minister of Education and Research, Anatolie Topală states that the support provided by Romania over the years is enormous. He stated that today's project aims to digitise education and increase the quality of studies. "Today we are working on a new project, a project related to digitization. Especially after the pandemic, emphasis was placed on the need to introduce and use information technologies in education. We need to make our education systems resilient to such shocks. Therefore, in the last period, all countries have placed a great emphasis on the use of information resources, equipping institutions with everything necessary to use information technologies in the educational process", said Anatolie Topală.
TRM.MD recalls that the total value of the project is approximately three and a half million Moldovan lei.
