PSRM does not rule out that several deputies would leave the formation in favor of MAN
The Socialist Party of the Republic of Moldova (PSRM) does not exclude other departures from the formation, following the example of deputy Gaik Vartanean, who could be part of the National Alternative Movement (MAN) of Chisinau mayor Ion Ceban, a formation that meets in Congress on Wednesday.

The National Alternative Movement party, created by Ion Ceban, meets in congress on Wednesday evening. The mayor of Chisinau wrote on Facebook that it is a technical meeting and the media will not be allowed access. On the eve of this event, the executive secretary of the Socialist Party, Vlad Batrîncea, admitted in a show on Realitatea TV that there could be other departures from his party and they could join the mayor's team. According to him, during this year there were several attempts to remove deputies from the ranks of the PSRM, including through pressure and blackmail. "There are attempts to remove deputies from the parliamentary faction, what the PSRM went through. Some tried to come with blackmail, others tried to come with money, someone is trying to come with other games, but we managed to keep the team. We don't keep our colleagues by force", said Vlad Batrîncea. It should be noted that last week the socialist deputy Gaik Vartanean left the faction, and the media wrote that he could join the new political project. According to Ion Ceban, the MAN team will include City Hall employees and other heads of institutions. Although Ion Ceban declared that his formation will be a pro-European one, political analysts claim that for now its intentions are not clear, commented political analyst Ion Tăbârță for Radio Moldova. "Now other people, from inside and outside the Republic of Moldova, decide what to do with these political projects. Rather, the socialist project related to Igor Dodon belongs to the past. If the socialists want to come back, they need another leader. MAN has a leader, but no team. It was expected that Ion Ceban's MAN would develop, politically of course, but for now the intentions of this party are not very clear, its policy, a pro-European one, as it is declared, or will it actually be a camouflaged policy project of Moscow", declared Ion Tăbârță. We remind you that in October the authorities of the United States of America included in a list of sanctions the Russian citizen Iuri Gudilin, polytechnologist and former FSB officer, who allegedly provided consultancy to the National Alternative Movement. The Treasury document suggests that the Movement would be viewed by Moscow as an alternative political formation through which it could advance its interests after other pro-Russian parties lost the trust of the electorate. Ion Ceban later stated that the report was misinterpreted and that he did not violate the law.
