A citizen of the Republic of Moldova died while completing his documents at the Embassy in Berlin
An 85-year-old man, who also held German citizenship, died in the consular section of the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Berlin. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, the man was there with his wife, to perfect his passport.
During the preparation for the photo shoot, the man fell. Diplomats from the Embassy mobilized to give him help, but found that he no longer had vital signs.
The emergency medical services were called to the scene and undertook all resuscitation measures. Unfortunately, the person has passed away.
"Currently, we are providing all the necessary support to the wife of the deceased citizen. After the legal measures taken by the German authorities, the consular activity of the Embassy has been resumed and is proceeding as usual. We send our sincere condolences to the family of the deceased", reads the message of the MAEIE.
