Prime Minister Dorin Recean requested boosting of the works to liquidate the consequences of the calamities
The works to liquidate the consequences of bad weather in the town of Cupcini, Edineț district, must be boosted, says Prime Minister Dorin Recean. On a visit to the north of the country, the prime minister requested more mobilization from the responsible institutions to deliver the necessary materials as soon as possible.
"We have requested the responsible institutions to mobilize, further, to deliver the necessary materials as soon as possible, including slate sheets and timber. At the same time, we asked to increase the number of cranes needed to carry out the repair work. In today's visit to Cupcini, I also talked with the city's residents, who have been involved from day one in fixing the situation in the community. I thanked them for their mobilization and contribution," said Prime Minister Dorin Recean.
Due to recent natural calamities, in the city of Cupcini, 50 multi-storey blocks, over 300 individual houses were damaged, 8 of which were completely uncovered, including the School of Arts and 4 kindergartens. Thus, at Cupcini, more than 4 thousand sheets of slate were distributed.
We remind you that following a decision of the Commission for Emergency Situations, the Government granted material aid to 74 localities in 6 districts of the country affected by bad weather. If necessary and at the request of the local authorities, through the regional Commissions for Emergency Situations, the Government will also examine other ways of supporting the affected citizens.
