The Parliament and a delegation from the US Congress discuss security in the region and the reform agenda
Security in the region, the agenda of reforms, as well as the European path of the Republic of Moldova, were the main topics discussed by the deputy chairman of the Parliament, Mihai Popșoi, with the delegation of the Congress of the United States of America.
The deputy mentioned that our country is facing a series of challenges - attempts to destabilize the situation, propaganda and cyber attacks on state institutions, reads a statement from the Parliament.
"The Republic of Moldova is a vulnerable country in the context of the Russian Federation's war in Ukraine. Currently, we are facing a series of challenges - attempts to destabilize the situation, propaganda and cyber attacks on state institutions", stressed the deputy chairman of the Parliament, Mihail Popșoi.
Also, the deputy chairman of the Parliament referred to the priorities of the governance agenda, including ensuring economic growth. "We are trying to attract investors, but it is quite difficult, because we are affected not only by the war, but also by the energy security crisis. To succeed, we try to create a business environment as accessible as possible" added Mihail Popșoi.
At the end of the meeting, the deputies from the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova expressed their gratitude for the support given by the USA to our country. In this context, American officials mentioned that they are willing to continue supporting the Republic of Moldova.
