The first lesson of this school year will be about the European integration of the Republic of Moldova, announces Dan Perciun
This year, the Ministry of Education and Research proposes that on September 1, the first subject for students in educational institutions will be about the European integration of the Republic of Moldova. The Minister of Education, Dan Perciun, said that by mid-August, the activities to be carried out by educational administrations will be finalised.
"We had a meeting with the trainees in the Government, with our colleagues from the Directorate of General Education to work on the proposal of the Teaching Project for September 1. The selected theme is related to the European integration of the Republic of Moldova and by the middle of this month we will propose some activities to be carried out on September 1 by educational institutions, taking into account of course also the fact that we have obtained the status of candidate country in 2022 and considering the high expectations we have for the opening of negotiations in autumn this year. We therefore consider it appropriate to address this issue on 1 September", explained the Minister for Education and Research, Dan Perciun.
Last year, the first lesson in educational institutions was dedicated to the veterans of the Transnistrian conflict and was dedicated to the "Year of Gratitude", in memory of the heroes who died in the struggle to defend the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova.
