Bilateral trade between the Republic of Moldova and Croatia increased by 88% in 2022
Trade-economic exchanges between the Republic of Moldova and Croatia increased by 88% in 2022 compared to the previous year, Marija Kapitanovic, the Croatian ambassador to the Republic of Moldova residing in Bucharest, told the "Diplomatic Dimension" programme on Moldova 1 TV channel.
"Last year, we had a significant increase in bilateral trade. Practically 88 percent increase in bilateral trade. It is a significant increase, but if we are honest we have to accept that the basis of comparison was not so high and obviously we have set ourselves the goal to expand, to broaden this cooperation. We would also like to strengthen cooperation in the education sector, in the cultural sector and many other sectors of common interest for both countries," said the Ambassador.
Marija Kapitanovic, referring to the 31st anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Moldova and the Republic of Croatia, said that the Moldovan-Croatian bilateral dialogue has been steadily growing, with numerous official reciprocal visits at the level of heads of state, legislature, governments and diplomats of the two countries. There are currently 18 bilateral agreements in force, in areas such as: mutual promotion and protection of investments, trade and economic cooperation, mutual promotion and protection of investments, mutual assistance in customs, cooperation in culture, cooperation in tourism.
Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Moldova and the Republic of Croatia were established on 28 July 1992.
