Authorities expect a new wave of refugees. The details of the Minister of the Interior

The Republic of Moldova could face a new wave of refugees this winter, according to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Ana Revenco. According to her, the ministry has developed a contingency plan for next year and is prepared to face all crises, especially in managing the flow of refugees.

"We have response plans, reaction plans, contingency plans, to respond to other challenges if necessary. Here we are talking about a potential second wave of refugees, because winter is already here, the temperatures are dropping. We understand that this, along with attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, could also trigger longer-lasting power outages, including on our territory. The Ministry of Internal Affairs will continue to be prepared to respond to absolutely all emergency situations, as it has done so far," said Ana Revenco. Currently, there are over 81 thousand Ukrainian refugees on the territory of the Republic of Moldova.
