Entrepreneurs are skeptical about investments in the Republic of Moldova: Security crisis, among the reasons
Entrepreneurs are skeptical when they have to invest in the Republic of Moldova or expand their businesses. This is caused by the pandemic, energy and security crisis, said the director of the Organization for the Development of Entrepreneurship (ODA), Dumitru Pîntea, during the "Public Space" show on Radio Moldova.
On the other hand, said Dumitru Pîntea, the current Government has assumed the support of entrepreneurs.
"We have a multitude of programs to support entrepreneurs, programs that have been launched recently and that come to create beneficial conditions for the development of entrepreneurship. And there is another very important element, it is the fact that Moldova obtained the status of a candidate country for the European Union. In this context, the Republic of Moldova must make progress in terms of adjusting the ceilings that define SMEs to those that are registered with the European Union. This very year, the Organization for the Development of Entrepreneurship signed a grant agreement through which the European Union comes to grant 8 million euros to capitalize the existing grant programs", said Dumitru Pîntea.
The ODA director also emphasized that the national economy is formed almost entirely by Small and Medium Enterprises, and each of the SME entrepreneurs has a turnover of around 100 million lei.
