Start for Youth Programme: 259 investment projects worth over 41 million lei have been launched

From June 2022 to date, 259 investment projects worth a total of over 41 million lei have been launched under the government's "Start for Young People" programme, the government said in a press release. Thus, young people aged between 18 and 35 who want to start or develop a business can benefit from advisory support and non-reimbursable financing or credit with grant portion.

"Through the programme, the Entrepreneurship Development Organisation (ODA) continues to provide facilities to harness the entrepreneurial potential of the younger generation," the source notes.

The value of the financial package can reach up to 1.7 million lei and includes the repayable loan portion of 85% and the grant portion of 15%. In the non-reimbursable financial support component, young people can access up to 200,000 lei, with an own contribution of 30%, according to the source.

The programme aims both to develop young people's entrepreneurial skills and to increase the number of sustainable businesses in Moldova.
