Russia claims to have shot down 13 Ukrainian drones near Crimea and Moscow

The Russian Defence Ministry announced early Thursday that it had shot down 13 drones, 11 of them near Crimea and two flying towards Moscow, following several similar attacks in recent days, according to AFP.

"Two drones flying in the direction of Moscow were destroyed," Russian Defense said on Telegram.

"Near the city of Sevastopol (in the annexed Crimean peninsula), two drones were hit by air defense devices, nine others were neutralized by electronic warfare means and shot down in the Black Sea before reaching their target," the Russian Defense Ministry added.

According to the Russian authorities, no casualties or damage were preliminarily reported.
