SSC to meet to assess Moldova's energy security

President Maia Sandu will convene the Supreme Security Council (SSC) on Thursday, August 17, to assess the country's energy security capabilities for the 2023-2024 heating season.

The SSC meeting will be held at 8:00 AM. The Presidency has not yet announced whether there will be press statements following the meeting.

The distribution system operators within the “Moldovagaz” group have submitted to the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) proposals for amending the Investment Program for 2025 and the Network Development Plan. The initiative provides for the connection of several localities in the Security Zone and on the right bank of the Nistru to the natural gas distribution network.
