Air defence destroys Ukrainian drone in Moscow
Air defence forces destroyed a Ukrainian drone in Moscow early Friday morning, causing no damage or casualties, authorities said, quoted by Agerpres.ro.
The drone was shot down over the Exhibition Center in the western part of the city, according to Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin. Emergency services were on the scene, but no injuries were reported.
The Russian Defense Ministry said the attack was carried out by Ukraine at 4:00 a.m. local time (1:00 a.m. GMT) and targeted "objects located in Moscow and the Moscow region."
Drone strikes inside Russian territory have been on the rise for several weeks, mostly without causing damage or casualties. In May, two drones were shot down over the Kremlin.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that "war is coming to Russia."
