Prime Minister Dorin Recean said that the project is significant for several reasons, including its economic potential, its boost to the electronics sector, and its contribution to the country's efforts to reduce its carbon footprint.

"The implemented project is a start for the growth of this industry," Recean said. "I encourage everyone to persevere and produce innovations in our country."

Minister of Economic Development and Digitization Dumitru Alaiba said that the government will continue to support producers who are developing new industries in Moldova.

"Thanks to your efforts, the automotive industry is getting a new lease of life, and Moldova is becoming a car-producing country by obtaining the first VIN code," Alaiba said. "Your success is the success of the whole country."

Energy Minister Victor Parlicov said that the production of electric buses is a major step forward for Moldova's efforts to decarbonize its economy.

"About 35% of all energy in our country is consumed by transport, and the easiest way to decarbonise transport is its electrification," Parlicov said. "We are becoming a country that not only consumes but also generates efficient technologies."

The founder and head of Informbusiness, Vitalie Esanu, said that the company plans to deliver the first 25 electric buses with autonomous operation in Balti this year. The company will also export to Ukraine, Romania, and other countries where there is demand for such means of transport.

In the long term, Esanu plans to build an electric bus assembly plant in the village of Trușeni.
