Moldova's Justice Minister praises Romanian training on legislative harmonisation
Moldova's Justice Minister Veronica Mihailov-Moraru has said that the training on legislative harmonisation provided by her Romanian counterpart Alina Gorghiu is "useful schooling" for her country.
The two ministers met in Chisinau on Tuesday to discuss preparations for the opening of the negotiation process with the European Union, in particular the harmonisation of legislation.
"With the granting of the Republic of Moldova the status of candidate country to the EU, our calendar has become very demanding and today we are engaged in various discussions, projects with development partners," Mihailov-Moraru said. "I would like to emphasise that the partnership with Romania remains the most valuable for the Government of the Republic of Moldova and for the citizens here."
The ministers also discussed the third edition of the Forum Republic of Moldova - Romania in the field of justice, which is due to take place at the beginning of next year. The forum will provide a platform for interaction between representatives of all justice institutions in the Republic of Moldova and Romania.
