Perciun said that the increase in scholarships is necessary to attract more young people to the teaching profession. He noted that the number of young teachers in Moldova has been declining in recent years, and that this is a problem for the country's education system.

The minister also said that by 2024, the government plans to attract 500 young teachers to schools. To achieve this goal, Perciun said that the government will also introduce a new admission average of at least 7 for students entering the pedagogy program.

In addition to the increase in scholarships and the new admission average, Perciun also announced that the first lesson on September 1 will be about "European Moldova". He said that this is in line with the government's goal of integrating Moldova into the European Union.
