[Hotnews.ro] Russian Air Defence downes Ukrainian drones in Bryansk and Kaluga

Russia's air defence shot down three Ukrainian drones in the Bryansk and Kaluga regions on Thursday, the Russian Defense Ministry said, without providing details on whether the attacks caused any casualties or damage.

"Last night, an attempt by the Kyiv regime to carry out drone strikes was thwarted," the ministry said in a statement on Telegram.

"Two drones were destroyed by air defence over the Bryansk region," the ministry said.

According to the same source, a third device "was detected and destroyed by air defence over the Kaluga region."

The ministry did not provide any information on possible casualties or damage.

Russia is currently being targeted almost daily by drones, such as the attack on Wednesday that killed three people in the Russian region of Belgorod, which borders Ukraine, according to Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov, who blamed the Ukrainian armed forces. At the end of July, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy welcomed the fact that "the war is approaching Russian territory."
