Romania to train Moldovan officials on EU affairs
The Romanian Diplomatic Institute will launch a pilot program to train Moldovan officials on EU affairs. The program will run from September 13 to 26 and will cover topics such as Romania's experience as an EU member state, the accession process, EU institutions and policies, economic reforms, and the transposition and implementation of EU legislation.
The program was created after the Republic of Moldova obtained the status of candidate country for EU membership at the European Council in 2022. It is part of Romania's ongoing efforts to support Moldova's European integration efforts.
"This program will help Moldovan officials understand the challenges and opportunities of EU membership," said Vasile Pușcaș, Romania's former chief negotiator for EU accession. "It is essential for Moldova to undertake a comprehensive transformation of its state institutions and economy in order to meet the EU's accession criteria."
The program will be taught by Romanian experts with extensive experience in EU affairs. It will be held in both Romanian and English.
