Fire risk in Moldova until mid-September

Starting today and until September 14, meteorologists have extended the warning for the risk of a dangerous atmospheric phenomenon. As a result, there will be an exceptional risk of natural fires (class V) over extended areas.

Previously, the National Meteorological Service issued an orange heat wave warning, which expires today. The maximum air temperature reaches values of +38°C.

Nighttime lows will also be high, with values between +18..+23ºC.

Energocom announced the average purchase price of electricity in the first 10 days of 2025

In the first 10 days of the year, a total of about 137 thousand MWh was purchased, at the weighted average price of 110.83 euros/MWh. This price is double the supply price of the Cuciurgan Power Plant (66 USD/MWh). According to Energocom, about 57.5% of the total quantity of energy was purchased based on bilateral contracts with companies in Romania and on OPCOM.
