The projects, which will receive funding from the Moldovan government, the European Union, and the World Bank, will be used to develop, modernise, digitise, or internationalise businesses.

Grants range from 250,000 lei (€13,000) to 2 million lei (€100,000).

Managers of the 45 companies attended a briefing today to learn about the contractual terms of the grants.

ODA Director Dumitru Pîntea informed the entrepreneurs about the latest government and European initiatives to support access to finance, urging them to apply for other business support tools to become more competitive in the market.

“ODA implements a wide range of business support programs to support entrepreneurs at all stages of business development, facilitates access to loans from banks at reduced interest rates through the “373” Program, and provides financial guarantees through the Credit Guarantee Fund. At the same time, the institution supports the development of business support infrastructure in the regions through Business Incubators and Multifunctional Industrial Platforms,” said Dumitru Pîntea.

Of the 45 new beneficiaries, 24 are active in rural areas and 21 are active in urban areas.

The businesses will access non-reimbursable financing through the following government programs: the PARE 1+2 Program for Attracting Remittances to the Economy, the Digital Transformation Program, the SME Greening Program, the Program for Increasing the Competitiveness of SMEs in Export and Internationalisation, and the Re-engineering and Energy Efficiency Program. The total amount of grants is approximately 22 million lei (€1.14 million).
