Local elections in Moldova: Nomination period begins
The Central Election Commission (CEC) announced on Tuesday, that the nomination period for local elections begins on September 6. The elections will be held for district councils, municipal councils, and the mayorships of Chișinău and Bălți.
The CEC said that registered political parties, electoral blocs, and independent candidates have the right to nominate candidates for the elections.
The electoral period for the fall elections was launched on August 7. The official election campaign will begin on October 6, when electoral propaganda is also permitted.
