The Republic of Moldova is building high voltage lines to ensure stable connections with Romania
Connections with Romania are made through the construction of the Vulcănești-Chișinău high-voltage line, which bypasses the Moldovan power plant in the Transnistrian region. Moreover, the resources from the Republic of Moldova have already been allocated for the Balti-Suceava line and the feasibility study is being prepared for the construction of the Străseni-Iași power line, said the Minister of Energy, Victor Parlicov, at the Romanian Energy Symposium, which is being held in between September 11-13, in Bucharest.
According to the official, other options are being examined to have at least three lines that would allow the stable operation of the continental integrated energy system, ENTSO-E. The projects are to be completed before 2030.
We remind you that the 400 kv aerial power line ( APL) Vulcănești - Chisinau, according to the technical project, has a total length of 157 kilometers and extends in localities from 8 districts from the south to the center of the country from Vulcănești to Chisinau.
The project is as important as it is impressive - a similar project has not been implemented in the Republic of Moldova in the last 30 years. APL Vulcănești-Chisinau has about 500 pylons and 3 types of poles, over 1500 km or 1900 tons of conductors will be used for the construction of APL with a three-phase system, having 3 conductors per phase; 157 kilometers of optical fiber with 36 fibers will ensure safe and fast data transmission.
The technical project for the construction of the line is in the process of verification and expertise within the State Service for the Verification and Expertise of Projects and Constructions.
