The Republic of Moldova will continue close cooperation with NATO for the modernization of the defense and security sector. Our country needs the support of the North Atlantic bloc in the situation where we have a war at the border, said the Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu on TVR Moldova.

We remind you that, at the NATO Summit in Vilnius this year, a joint declaration of the allies was signed, including the Republic of Moldova. The statement states that NATO is asking Russia to withdraw its troops stationed illegally in the Transnistrian region. Also, the alliance reiterated its support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Moldova.
