Ukraine demands the involvement of NATO to condemn cases when kamikaze drones hit Romanian territory

Ukraine demands a more determined involvement of NATO to condemn the cases when kamikaze drones hit Romanian territory. In an exclusive interview for Euronews Romania, the adviser to the Ukrainian president, Mihail Podoliak, accused the international community of preferring to adopt the "Silence of the Lambs" policy, which indirectly encourages Moscow's aggressive actions, rather than sending signals that would deter the Russian military.

"I believe that we must have a calm attitude towards what is happening, in any case, to activate art. 4 of the NATO Statute preventing the initiation of consultations about what Russia is doing. Unfortunately, Russia often intervenes in the air and maritime space of other states and it must be established exactly, any object of the Russian Federation, regardless of its nature, if it is in the sovereign or maritime space of a country, of a third party, it will be destroyed immediately. A fair declaration is required according to international law," said Mihail Podoliak.

We remind that Article 4 of the NATO Treaty provides that the parties will have joint consultations whenever any of them considers that the territorial integrity, political independence or security of any of the parties is threatened.
