Russia, disturbed by the cooperation of the Republic of Moldova with NATO. New warnings from Moscow

The Russian Federation is once again speculating about the cooperation of the Republic of Moldova with the North Atlantic Alliance (NATO). The Deputy Foreign Minister from Moscow, Mikhail Galuzin, mentioned, in an interview for RIA Novosti, that "the intensification of cooperation between Chisinau and NATO countries in the military and technical-military sphere is a factor that greatly undermines the very security of the Republic Moldova. Radiomoldova.md requested a reaction from the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Chisinau, Daniel Vodă, but for now we have not received a reply.

Mihail Galuzin states that "recklessly pumping a country with Western weapons or deploying NATO contingents on its territory does not add to its security and sovereignty at all, but, on the contrary, brings it closer to a catastrophe." He urged Chisinau "not to repeat the sad experience of Kiev". We remind that the authorities in Chisinau have mentioned several times that due to the war started by the Russian Federation in Ukraine, the Republic of Moldova is in a very difficult security situation, so it must strengthen its defense potential. At the NATO ministerial in Bucharest on November 29, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Nicu Popescu, declared that "the country's neutrality status does not mean demilitarization and isolation externally, but the ability to protect citizens, ensuring their peace and safety ". The Deputy Secretary General of NATO, Mircea Geoană, stated that the North Atlantic Alliance respects the constitutional neutrality of the Republic of Moldova, but believes that "each country has the right to make its own choice regarding the foreign policy ".
