Moldovan Agriculture Minister Vladimir Bolea will meet with farmers on Thursday to discuss the country's agricultural sector.

The meeting will be held at the Palace of the Republic in Chisinau at 10:00 a.m. Moldovan President Maia Sandu may also attend.

Officials will discuss the provisions of the country's budget and fiscal policy, and how they may be adjusted to support the agricultural sector.

"The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, together with the Ministry of Finance and the State Fiscal Service, will organise an extended meeting with the largest employers and taxpayers in the agricultural sector," said Daniela Turculeț, the ministry's spokesperson.

"We will discuss practical aspects of the sector and the results of the grain harvest. We will also organise discussions and consultation rounds with other categories of taxpayers and employers in the coming period."

Turculeț added that Bolea will hold a briefing on Thursday afternoon to present the results of the meeting.
