MAEIE replies to the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister: "We are a free country and it is our decision how to develop our country"
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration (MAEIE) responds to Moscow's warnings regarding the cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and NATO. The spokesperson of the institution, Daniel Vodă, told Radio Moldova that we are a peaceful and neutral state and that all foreign cooperation in the field of security and defense is based on three essential things.

He reiterated that neutrality does not mean self-isolation, demilitarization, or indifference to what is happening in the world. "We are interested in strengthening our resilience including through NATO, the strongest political-military alliance in the world. Our cooperation with the organization is transparent and based on a well-known framework, including the Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP) for 2022 - 2023, the Assistance Package for strengthening our country's security and defense capabilities, the Professional Development Program, the Science for Peace and Security and others", stated Daniel Vodă. According to him, the war in Ukraine has "dramatic consequences for our country". Therefore, we need all the solidarity of external partners "to overcome the multiple hybrid challenges we face". "We are a free country and it is our decision how to develop our country," concluded the spokesperson of the diplomacy of the Republic of Moldova, Daniel Vodă. We remind you that on Saturday, December 24, the Deputy Foreign Minister from Moscow, Mihail Galuzin, declared that "the intensification of cooperation between Chisinau and NATO countries in the military and technical-military sphere is a factor that greatly undermines the very security of the Republic of Moldova.
