EU offers support for business development in Moldova and Romania
The European Union, in addition to values and democracy models, also represents support for business development, said MEP Siegfried Mureșan at the European Economic Forum held today in Paris.
In his opinion, the success stories of young entrepreneurs from Romania and Moldova, established in European countries, argue that the EU offers multiple opportunities for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises.
"Your success is also an example of the benefits that the European Union offers. Your success shows that everywhere in the European Union, if you work hard and are serious, you will be appreciated and will be successful and you can integrate. But, the European Union represents more than just business opportunities for the diaspora from Romania and Moldova. The European Union also represents support for the development of the private sector and the economy at home, in Moldova and Romania. The European Union means supporting small entrepreneurs, encouraging a competitive business environment, reducing corruption, and measures that attract investors."
The European Economic Forum provided the opportunity for young entrepreneurs to connect with representatives of government, diplomatic, and public institutions from Moldova and Romania.
The event was also attended by representatives of non-governmental organisations and the business community in Europe, Chambers of Commerce and Industry, the Investment Agency, as well as officials from European institutions.
