More Ukrainian refugee children enrol in Chișinău schools
1,135 children from schools and kindergartens in Chișinău are refugees from Ukraine, Andrei Pavaloi, head of the General Directorate of Education, Youth and Sports, said today during a meeting of the services of the Chișinău City Hall.
According to him, last week, 13 more children enrolled in schools in Chișinău than in the period from September 4 to 10.
“According to information received from the directors of educational institutions in Chișinău, we have 1,135 refugee children from Ukraine in the schools and kindergartens of the capital. In the schools of Chișinău, 13 more children enrolled last week than in the period from September 4 to 10.”
Olivia Melnic, spokesperson for the Ministry of Internal Affairs, told Radio Moldova that as of September 11, there were approximately 109,000 Ukrainian refugees in our country, including adults and children.
