The US Ambassador in Chisinau: "It was a difficult year, but the Moldovans proved that they are strong"
Despite the challenges of this year, Moldovans have shown the world that they are strong and resilient, said the US ambassador to the Republic of Moldova, Kent D. Logsdon. In a video message sent on the occasion of the winter holidays, the diplomat appreciated the partnership between the two states, which he said was a "strong and important" one.
"The holidays at the end of the year are an occasion for reflection and joy, meeting friends and loved ones. It was a difficult year due to Russia's unprovoked war in Ukraine, the energy crisis and the pandemic. But despite the challenges, Moldovans have shown the world that they are good-hearted, strong and resilient people. The USA is proud to stand with the Republic of Moldova this year, as it has for the past 30 years. Our partnership is strong and important," the ambassador said.
The head of the EU Delegation in Chisinau, Ambassador Janis Mazeiks, also conveyed today that the Republic of Moldova managed to face the challenges of this year, to prove resilience and solidarity.
