MEP Corina Crețu: "The Republic of Moldova must be assisted in its European path"
The Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu, had a meeting today with the MEP Corina Crețu, who came to Chisinau. Officials discussed the importance of investing in the green economy and infrastructure.
"The Republic of Moldova must be helped in its European path", was the message sent by MEP Corina Crețu.
The parliamentary agenda was also reviewed, as well as the progress on the 9 recommendations of the European Commission in the context of granting candidate country status.
"We are grateful to the European Parliament for today's news regarding the organization of a debate in October to adopt a resolution regarding the European path of the Republic of Moldova", said Igor Grosu.
During the discussions, the Parliament Speaker also referred to the importance, from the point of view of energy security, of the fact that the gas transport networks in our country, owned by Gazprom, are operated for the first time by Vestmoldtransgaz SRL, a company created by Transgaz Romania and EBRD.
"The last two years have taught us a lot, but we can say with certainty that we are better prepared for the winter season, and most importantly - we can no longer be blackmailed by the Kremlin," said the Parliament Speaker.
