Vladimir Bolea asked Brussels for support for farmers affected by the drought

The Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry, Vladimir Bolea, requested in Brussels, support for the farmers from the Republic of Moldova, affected by the drought. The statement was made during the "Mission of European Farmers" conference.

According to him, in order to face the challenges, it is necessary for the Republic of Moldova to be included in all the support and promotion programs and platforms, including those of farmers.

At the same time, a press release from the Ministry of Agriculture states that Vladimir Bolea spoke at the conference about the situation and development prospects of the agricultural sector in terms of climate change, as well as the negative impact of the war in Ukraine on the agricultural sector in the Republic of Moldova.

On the sidelines of his visit to Brussels, Vladimir Bolea had a series of meetings with European officials, including the vice-president of the European Parliament's Commission for Agriculture and Rural Development, Daniel Buda, and the Romanian MEP Siegfried Mureșan.
