The Republic of Moldova will join the Global Convention on the Recognition of Higher Education Qualifications, adopted in 2019 in Paris. A draft law in this regard was examined today by the Parliamentary Committee for Culture, Education, Research, Youth, Sports and Media.
The purpose of the Convention is to facilitate academic and professional mobility between regions and to encourage international cooperation in higher education by establishing a global tool for defining standards.

Likewise, higher education institutions will be fully included in the international circuit of educational services, being connected to international information and qualification recognition networks.
To date, the Convention has been ratified by 22 states, including France, Iceland, Japan, Norway, Sweden, Romania, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, etc.
