The purpose of the Convention is to facilitate academic and professional mobility between regions and to encourage international cooperation in higher education by establishing a global tool for defining standards.

Accordingly, with the accession of our country to this Convention, students from the Republic of Moldova and teaching staff, who opt for mobility programs, will benefit from more opportunities. Likewise, higher education institutions will be fully included in the international circuit of educational services, being connected to international information and qualification recognition networks.

To date, the Convention has been ratified by 22 states, including France, Iceland, Japan, Norway, Sweden, Romania, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, etc.
