Kiev's reaction to Putin's statements that Moscow is ready for negotiations with Ukraine

Moscow is not interested in any negotiations with Ukraine as it continues to "kill citizens" and only seeks to "run away from responsibility", declared today one of the main advisers of the Ukrainian president, Mihailo Podoliak.

" Putin must return to reality. Russia single-handedly attacked Ukraine and is killing citizens. Russia does not want negotiations, but tries to avoid responsibility. This is obvious. Therefore, we are heading to the court," Mihailo Podoliak reacted on Twitter, quoted by Agerpres. The president's top adviser had announced hours earlier about the latest Russian attack on the city of Kherson on Christmas Eve, which left 16 dead and dozens injured, criticizing those who support the Kremlin's so-called peace initiatives. The Russian president had already justified on several occasions the military intervention in Ukraine by the need to unite the Ukrainians and the Russians, who would form only one and the same people, in his opinion. According to Vladimir Putin, the Russian army is "acting in the right direction" in Ukraine, AFP notes. Putin again denounced the position of Kiev and its Western allies, which "refuses negotiations", declaring himself "ready to negotiate with all participants in this process to achieve acceptable results" according to the French news agency.
