Moldovan Foreign Minister reaffirms commitment to OSCE cooperation
Moldovan Foreign Minister Nicu Popescu met with OSCE Secretary General Helga Maria Schmid on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly on Wednesday to discuss regional security.
The two officials discussed the ongoing war in Ukraine and its impact on the security of Moldova and the wider region. They also discussed the status of the Transnistrian conflict and Moldova's progress on its path to European Union membership.
"We also evaluated the cooperation of the Republic of Moldova with the OSCE and its institutions, emphasising the importance of the continuation of the OSCE mission in our country," Popescu said.
