Moldova's Parliament to investigate allegations against CSM member
The Moldovan Parliament's Legal Commission announced on Thursday that it would hold hearings on allegations that a member of the Supreme Court of Justice (CSM), Iulian Muntean, is under investigation for corruption.
The allegations were first reported in the media on Wednesday. Muntean, who was appointed to the CSM earlier this month, has denied the allegations, saying they are politically motivated.
The Legal Commission said it would invite Muntean, the Prosecutor General, and the head of the National Anti-Corruption Center (CNA) to testify at the hearings.
"We will analyse the case and immediately inform the public of our findings," said Olesea Stamate, the head of the Legal Commission.
