Dumitru Alaiba: The patent reform was successfully completed
The patent reform was successfully completed, and about 95% of the former patentees transitioned to independent activity.
In an online intervention, the Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization, Dumitru Alaiba, emphasized that from now on it is important that the competent institutions ensure fiscal discipline, and consumers request the receipt.
"In markets, as in other places of commerce, the receipt is a mandatory reality. Obviously they don't expect 100% compliance overnight, but that's what we're going for and we'll get there because other countries have gone through similar stages, we'll succeed in everything if we persevere", declared Dumitru Alaiba.
We remind you that, from July 1, economic agents can no longer operate on the basis of patents, following a reform in this sector. The expenses for the transition to another form of activity was compensated by the state.
At the beginning of the year, over 4,000 business license holders were registered in the Republic of Moldova.
