Paul Graham: France wants to contribute to the development and modernization of the infrastructure of the Republic of Moldova
The French authorities want to contribute to the development and modernization of the infrastructure of the Republic of Moldova, said the French ambassador in Chisinau, Paul Graham.
In an interview on Radio Chisinau, the diplomat said that the French Development Agency proposed to invest in three important sectors for citizens, and in this context, the Agency will even open a permanent office in Chisinau at the beginning of February.
"The French Development Agency has decided to contribute to the development of three sectors that seem very important to us. Water, supply, energy, forestry and irrigation sector. Next week there will be a new mission from the French Development Agency that will work specifically in these fields, it will even open a permanent office in Chisinau at the beginning of February. Another essential sector for the development and European integration of the Republic of Moldova is the transport sector, especially the railway transport. The French government has proposed funding to rehabilitate the railway connection between Chisinau-Ungheni up to the border with Romania," said Ambassador Paul Graham.
The French ambassador in Chisinau also said that currently there is a great potential for the development of bilateral economic relations, and the interest of French companies in the Republic of Moldova is growing.
