Ukraine's president seeks India's help to implement 'peace formula'
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy is seeking India's help in implementing a "peace formula," the request came during a phone call with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The conversation comes as India seeks to strengthen trade ties with Moscow, while Western nations introduce new measures to limit Russian war financing, Reuters reports. Last month, Zelenski called on major Group of 20 (G20) economies to adopt Ukraine's ten-point peace formula and end the war, with India taking over the G20 presidency earlier this month. The Kyiv leader also called for the release of all Ukrainian prisoners at the time and referred to restoring "radiation safety" at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant where fighting is taking place, introducing restrictions on Russian energy resources and expanding an agreement on grain export.
