The date of the local elections in 2023 was set
The new electoral code stipulates that local elections in 2023 will be organized on the last Sunday of October or the first Sunday of November. This was announced by the secretary of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC), Alexandru Berlinschii, quoted by Agora.md.
The new Electoral Code was voted on in the final reading on December 8 and will enter into force on January 1. The exact date is to be determined by a decision of the CEC at least 70 days before election day. We remind you that, also on December 8, the deputies voted on the draft law that provides for the adjustment of the normative framework related to the electoral one in the second reading.
