Igor Grosu: The war in Ukraine is the moment of truth: either you are on the side of war or you are on the side of peace
The war in Ukraine has divided the world, gray areas have disappeared, and talking about neutrality is already impossible and inadmissible. The statement was made by the Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu.

"Moldova, as a country that wants to become part of the civilized world, of the European Union, must clearly adopt a position and give the assessments that civilized democratic countries do. When you have a war nearby - the Russian Federation attacked Ukraine, violating all laws of international law and all conventions, to stand aside and say that you are neutral and peaceful, at least it is not true, it is not honest. In such situations, such countries should not expect much respect from their neighbors and the international community. Even if we are a small country, with the potential we have, we must say clearly when human rights are violated, when there is genocide, when people die", said Igor Grosu during a show on TV8.
At the same time, referring to the possibility of declaring the Russian Federation as a state sponsor of terrorism, Grosu mentioned that there are such discussions within PAS. "We will analyze the declaration adopted by the European Parliament. When there is a common position in the PAS fraction, then we will announce it," said Igor Grosu. He reiterated that he does not currently see any direct danger of an invasion of the Russian Federation in our country. "There are different analyses. The Ukrainian side says that, in theory, there are such plans from the north. They are preparing, there are applications in Belarus, etc. We must watch the evolution of the situation very carefully and be ready for anything. At the moment, we do not see a direct danger of invasion", Igor Grosu also said.
