Maia Sandu, in Granada: I call on leaders to fight against disinformation
The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, arrived at the third edition of the European Political Community Summit in Granada, Kingdom of Spain. Before starting the event, the head of state told the media that today she will appeal to the European leaders to fight together against the interference of the Russian Federation in the internal affairs of our country.
"Russia continues to try to attack the democratic process in the Republic of Moldova and to prevent the European integration process of the Republic of Moldova. But we have strong friends, including here today. I will appeal to the leaders to fight against disinformation, against propaganda, to fight against those who are used by Russia to undermine our democracies and states", said Maia Sandu.
The head of state is going to discuss with her counterparts and the leaders of the European institutions about the challenges on the continent, but also about the accession of the Republic of Moldova to the European Union and the reforms within the community bloc. The third edition of the European Political Community Summit started today in Granada. Kingdom of Spain. The meeting is attended by all European leaders except Russia, Belarus, Turkey and Azerbaijan.
